What is NLP?
NLP or Neuro Linguistic Programming is a model that defines how to fast track success by working through your unconscious mind. Most people are unsure of how they achieve results. Do you know how you have become successful and achieve results in your life? What if you did and could replicate that over and over again. Wouldn’t that be powerful?
We are programmed from birth to adopt unconscious strategies of those around us via a process of osmosis. Some of these habits may augur well in our lives today. If you installed unconscious patterns that generate powerful results in health, wealth, relationships and career keep them and find out how you are doing that.
If however you have installed unconscious patterns that generate weak results you have the opportunity to change that. NLP is a powerful tool for transformational change where we work with the five senses – what you see, hear, feel, taste and smell.
Co-founded by a Professor of Linguistics, Dr. John Grinder and a computer scientist, Richard Bandler, NLP is a language of influence and a model of how to reprogram yourself for better results. It is an epistemologywhere we learn how we know what we know.
We have unconscious strategies for everything we do. So NLP can be defined as a model of how to replicate talent. The field emerged in the late 70’s from observation and coding of performers who were doing excellence in their lives.
VIA Frontiers specialise in applying NLP to the workplace. We are corporate NLP Trainers and Coaches. While NLP has its roots in psychotherapy it is recognised today as a corporate tool that helps build successful people in leadership, corporate coaching, sales, communications and presentations.
Some specific benefits that can be gained in doing NLP in the workplace are:
Organisations that understand behavior through simple processes in NLP stand a far better chance of increased bottom line results via enhanced teamwork and strong leadership. Once an organisation has built the NLP capability into it’s infrastructure, they are aligned in action towards accomplishing their vision and mission, driven by their core values.
Success is seen by many as synonymous to prosperity. How do you calibrate what success is for you? The Wheel of Life opens up options for us to consider:
Whatever your choices determine what success is for you then measure it on a scale of 1 to 10. NLP provides you with the tools to close this gap.
NLP delivers a clear pathway to making behaviour change, whatever it is that you feel may propel you to achieve results and develop a winning mindset. There are simply four leverage points to change behaviour:
Working with the context, process and structure of an individual’s experience results in fast, efficient and profound results as we work outside of the content. Solutions are usually found outside rather than inside the issue and NLP gives us models to do this.
