SYLVIA'S EXPERIENCE IN MENTAL HEALTH
Sylvia began her Neuro-linguistic Programming (NLP) Training & Coaching business in Sydney in 2002 having re-invented herself from a banker. She had by then, accumulated tremendous experience in the corporate sector and presented a perfect fit to train and coach leaders. This saw her succeed in organisations across Asia Pacific, fuelling self-management in the workplace where employees were driven by a sense of purpose.
During this time Sylvia also coached people who suffered mental health issues. Over a wide spectrum of self-harm to depression, bi-polar to OCD, she used accelerated tools within her Rapid Success Coaching toolbox to return clients to a normal life. |

Many were already consulting other mental health professionals and were on medication. Progressively over a few NLP coaching sessions, with their own sense of knowing and in consultation with their therapist, they gave up all forms of medication to stand on their own two feet. Their sense of confidence catapulted and they felt self-renewed.
This enormous transformation usually only took a few sessions;
- firstly, to break negative patterns of behaviour that took them out of danger
- secondly, to assimilate back into normal life where they needed a bit of handholding and guidance.
With mental health on the radar today, younger generations especially, are unable to cope with their perception of pressure from parents' expectations and the world's issues at large. It is fundamentally important that they learn NLP tools to change their perceptions and self-manage, to live life in peace.
Sylvia is passionate about helping those struggling with such issues. She is adamant that change happens fast with NLP and the future is bright, if only she is able to access them. All she needs is trust and a willingness on their part!

TESTIMONIALS
I was in my late twenties when I first attended an NLP coaching session. I had hit rock bottom in my life. How could this have happened to a high-flying young single woman, who chased her career goals while being a social butterfly on weeknights and weekends.
In a span of two years just before my first NLP session, I was diagnosed with Epilepsy followed by a diagnosis of Depression which was later amended to Bipolar Disorder. I was heavily medicated, including medication to help me fall asleep every night. I was seeing a psychiatrist, a psychologist and a neurologist, attending multiple appointments and follow ups.
Everything I did, I had to consider if it might possibly have an impact on my physical and mental health. I had lost confidence in myself at work and I was no longer the same person my colleagues once knew. I had even developed a phobia of entering a particular space at my workplace as I had collapsed and had my first seizure there. Although family, friends, colleagues and healthcare professionals were looking out for me and helping me out of care and concern, the more I interacted with them, the more sickly and helpless I felt.
Honestly, I was actually sceptical and reluctant about NLP initially. My sibling pretty much forced me into giving it a go for one session. You see I had attended other mass life coaching sessions. There was so much hype and after it was over, I returned to how it was before. Continuing learnt practices was a chore as it was something additional I had to do so naturally it fell on the wayside.
My first NLP coaching session was unlike other coaching sessions I had attended. It dived straight deep in - visualising my timeline and charting my past, present and future. I also learnt a few NLP constructs. Intrigued by how easy yet deep the sessions were, I continued my sessions. Unlike processes taught in other coaching sessions, processes taught in NLP sessions effected changes in me quickly and permanently.
Within a span of 3 months, everyone (myself included), could see the transformation I had. My confidence and zeal at work had returned, yet I had a new overall sense of being grounded even though I wasn’t quite sure what to expect next in life.
Just a month after I completed my coaching sessions, I met a man and everything after that happened like clockwork. We got engaged, married, spent a few years storming and norming as a team of two and are now the proud parents of a toddler. We’re physically exhausted albeit our hearts are filled with joy, hope and gratitude. My psychiatrist wrote an official memo explaining that I had recovered from Bipolar Disorder. I have been seizure-free for several years and off all medications for about 3 years now.
In retrospect, I now see that I had to hit rock bottom in order to pick myself up and work on myself by looking inward. I still remember the countless teary sleepless nights with self-doubt, fear and anguish all waging a war against and within me. NLP had been my mode of transportation since then to help me travel deep within, pluck out weeds, repair parts and processes that weren’t helping. It then helped me generate a life I am forever grateful for.
I really don’t think my partner and I would have clicked on our first date if I hadn’t done my inner work. Although my sharing might sound like a fairy tale, it clearly was never so easy. When you start to despair of ever finding yourself again in the storm of life’s tough challenges, use NLP to look inward. You will be fitted a brand new pair of clean glasses with which you can see yourself and the storm clearly and realise that this too shall pass and that you are in a safe place made of solid foundation with a sturdy roof above your head, equipped with essentials needed till the storm passes.
More than anything NLP provided me with self-management tools that I am able to use forever. They are in my back pocket anytime I need them. If what you are reading resonates and appeals to you please do as I did. Help yourself by starting sessions. You will be truly grateful!

TESTIMONIAL
I was introduced to Sylvia in May 2021 when I was going through the most deeply mentally challenging times I could have possibly imagined. I was 20 years old and had severe symptoms through which no medication or psychologist could help me overcome. It had been months and I was feeling downright hopeless that anything could help me at that point.
Switching from psychologist to psychologist, therapist to therapist, no one had shown deep concern for my wellbeing as Sylvia did, when we first had a brief call to introduce ourselves. To my surprise, I knew in my heart, that this NLP and Sylvia combination, would be a great asset to me and would help me feel better.
I started Zoom coaching sessions one-on-one with Sylvia as I lived overseas. This not only helped me find the deepest roots of my underlying problems but also provided me with insanely easy processes that would help me feel better in a whip.
I identified parts within me that were running havoc in different directions and promptly integrated them. I started to feel whole again. It was incredible! Just after a few sessions. I wish I had found this earlier as I had suffered so much with other therapists and no results too.
With other NLP processes like the Swish, I got rid of negative habits that had been installed in me at a very young age, unknowingly, and replaced them with positive ones. I knew how to process my anger into confidence. I could not believe the swiftness in which these processes worked. I wish we had learnt these types of life skills in school. I know I would have been so much better off today.
We also did an anchoring process where I accessed confidence within a few moments. All this just by going through the process in my mind and physically stepping in. These processes that Sylvia took me through proved to be essential in battling my mental health challenges. Sylvia knew which processes to pick from her wide toolbox, that would specifically help me see the light at the end of a deep dark tunnel.
As you can imagine having come from the history that I did, even though I was feeling almost 100% (having done all these sessions on Zoom), I wanted to continue and not let go of Sylvia so quickly. She urged me to learn NLP so I could help others. I felt congruent about this as I too had enjoyed our sessions so much that I did not want to stop there. I needed to learn how to do these processes on my own for myself and others.
So I signed up for Sylvia’s “Create Your Future Now”online classes which comprised Series A and B. It was a modular online program that ran for eight weeks and for only 2 hours at a time. I became so engaged and empowered through these NLP classes that I blitzed through Series A and B. It was easy for me as I had been a client using these processes and was now learning how to apply them with others.
I have so much more to say about my fun and highly enjoyable sessions with Sylvia. I always looked forward to them and felt amazingly empowered at the end of every session even though in early days the call would start with me “down in the dumps”.
I would like to add that once I took control of my life, I decided what meds I could do without and discussed these with my psychiatrist. Sylvia worked in the background to help me heal my internal self and always insisted that I inform my therapists, whoever was looking after me at the time (as I was studying overseas). It was great to be able to work on both sides and know I was safe.
I would really encourage you to sign up with Sylvia. I am so thankful I did.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
At VIA Frontiers, we have always been passionate about working in social enterprise projects. In 2016, we began a partnership with AGAPE Connecting People who operate a call centre in Changi Prison. Our mandate was to improve performance and customer service levels of each telemarketer. We had two touch points monthly, coaching and training agents. Our deeper objective was to eradicate negative emotional programming inherent in each agent and help them re-integrate into society. |
