Identity – The I AM Statement

Many calamities came our way, from a pandemic to repercussions from global warming. All of these caused pain and discomfort which had people squirming in their circumstances. Some lost jobs and others were forced to reinvent themselves.

It is situations like these that pushed people into a corner, forcing them to make change. Choice was limited. Opportunities abound but they had to turn around. This rise in consciousness was the ultimate goal that opened doorways in minds. This method was the old way. No pain no gain as the old adage goes.
But what if we could raise consciousness voluntarily, pro-actively, so we circumvent pain and flow with events. Learning how to dodge negativity exactly in dodgem cars, that we played as kids. Each of us has that resource in us to live in flow rather than wait to crash into the rocks as the storm worsens.

I have seen this in the years of working with clients globally. Each came to me at a different stage of their life;

  • Totally mis-aligned having manifested some physical disease

    This group of people were already on medication and could not see a way out. A few sessions of eradicating negative emotions and wiping out beliefs that limited them were enough to get them from negative to neutral territory.

    We did more sessions to then get them back to a normal life, creating a future that they wanted. They typically went on to do NLP courses, having the desire to gain skills of working through the unconscious mind.

  • Deriving average success in life, knowing they could have more

    This group of people felt strongly that there was more to life than the results they were achieving, whether at work or home. They didn’t know how to get there and were open to personal development / growth.

    They learnt to pick up self-management tools fast and as results changed, their level of motivation heightened. These people moved to exponential results from being open to learning.

  • Already high performers in their fields, they asked “what’s next?”

    Many people in this group were senior management. They had done so much intuitively and didn’t know what they would be heading for next.

    As they were introduced to NLP tools, their engagement heightened as they recognized the tools / processes as ones they were already using, with little or no awareness. Knowing the “how to” gave them the ability to replicate their talent.

All three categories of people ended up knowing themselves at a more intimate level. In order to make change at the unconscious level, they had to go through the phases of;

  • Awareness
  • Acceptance
  • Learning
  • Change

In doing so, they delved into their;

  • Values – what motivated them
  • Time – how they sorted for time and managed it
  • Beliefs – where hurdles came from
  • Maps – how they stored memories

From this came a sense of who they were and an alignment internally towards their Purpose. What screamed out at them? They could complete the sentence “I AM……..”

Results showed for themselves. I saw them fly in their respective fields. They possessed tools to self-manage. They made good decisions that augured well with what they wanted. This was the first step towards finding their identity.

They had averted the deep end of negativity that could have been coming their way. Like seeing the hurricane come and averting it. Such an easy stance to take in life versus waiting for the hurricane to hit, facing the aftermath of destruction.

Alas this was merely the first step. They were now driving on a new road, living a life they wanted, that was focused on the future.
