The concept of purpose plagued Petra’s life in a big way. She had heard people talk about this even though she never really understood what it truly meant and why it was so important. The phone rang. It was her friend Gerry inviting her to a hike through the national park. It was going to take all day so bring a packed lunch and wear good hiking shoes, she said. Petra loved Sundays like that. Her spirit could roam. She felt free to dream and smell the roses as she walked. The concept of purpose plagued Petra’s life in a big way. The phone rang. It was her friend Gerry inviting her to a hike through the national park. It was going to take all day so bring a packed lunch and wear good hiking shoes, she said. Petra loved Sundays like that. Her spirit could roam. She felt free to dream and smell the roses as she walked. The weekend arrived In no time. Petra set about packing her light back pack and Gerry being the punctual friend she was, arrived at the porch right on time. They wanted to make a head start before it got too hot. They found the spot that would start their walk and bring them back by bus. It looked like a wonderful day, great weather and not too many hikers yet, judging by the number of cars parked in the lot. As they began their walk Gerry began to relate her recent activities. They had not caught up for months and she was reticent to tell Petra about what she was up to. Every time Petra asked she said “I’ll tell you when we meet” Gerry had been doing a bunch of courses in NLP with the express purpose of finding her purpose. She had been a banker for 15 years and while it paid her handsomely, she felt there was something more. She was bored, dragging her feet to work. She couldn’t possibly carry on like this for the rest of her life. And therein spurred a series of phone calls that led Gerry to attend introduction talks, opening a plethora of personal development modalities to her. Neuro-linguistic programming attracted her like a magnet. She loved the idea of self management. The idea of helping herself first then using the same tools to help others appealed. There were so many dimensions to this. Learning a completely new field was so exciting. She loved learning. Petra got sucked in from the time Gerry started sharing her story. Like music to her ears she wanted it too. Fast forwarding her story Petra decided she would do NLP too. She wanted to find her purpose and click in to doing something she could be passionate about. Needless to say Petra’s life changed phenomenally after the course. She had cleaned out and oiled the engine of her mind. She was excited as she now had self management tools to use for the rest of her life. Now she understood. The most exciting thing is that she experienced rapid wins while doing the NLP Practitioner course. This was an accelerated model. She began to enrol friends into doing the course too. Her focus had changed. She had re-directed her mind firstly by letting go of negative emotions, mainly anger. In order to click in to her purpose. This was the first step. As soon as she learnt how to resolve past negativity where she actually felt a release from her body, she felt the difference between then and now. It was hard to believe that just a few months ago she was stagnating in her job with no direction. If she secured this contract it would at least tide her over with bills in this Covid pandemic time and see her to her next step. She was a lot more aware now that this re-direction to a purposeful life was a journey. The course had given her a big kickstart and shown her steps she could start taking. The move into her future had begun. She then learnt tools at the NLP course to create her future from a blank slate, from nothing. There were so many tools for goal setting and tapping into creativity. She also learnt how to manage her state of mind towards being more adaptable and flexible. There was no assurance today, of what the future landscape held. She had to be ready for every eventuality. As she changed her focus, more doors and different doors opened. Greater more exciting options and possibilities. She was in a winning mindset now where nothing could deter her. When she found her 100% purpose and she knew she was close, she would be walking the path that her unique self was meant to be doing. More importantly she would love it, ignited by passion and drive. Inspired by others who she admired in the past, she was now one of them. For those who felt they wanted a taster rather than the full certification course, an online course “Create Your Future Now” was available. She was thankful for Gerry’s sharing. She now had the adaptability and resilience but more importantly the self management tools, to make things happen. She felt invincible! Having felt rapid success come to her so easily she blitzed through so many processes at the NLP Practitioner course. Setting goals in her unconscious mind so that like a magnet, she could live on purpose. Eradicating conflict so she could make confident decisions. She now believed 100% that her future was there for her to create. She had become the artist in her life. Wow what a far cry from where she was in the past. Blaming others and feeling that life was against her. As soon as she dumped that to step into a winning mindset, her internal world changed and produced rapid results in her external world. How cool was that? It was time to get cracking. She had work to do…..
