Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) was no longer a buzzword or trend in the business world. It had evolved and proven itself as an effective business tool. It is the very reason that savvy CEO’s bought in to hiring NLP Training as a corporate wide initiative. They saw it as a strategy to get ahead of the competition. It was the very reason Janice, a forward thinking CEO decided to make that call to Sylvia Fernandes, CEO and Founder of VIA Frontiers. Wanting to impact and change employee thought patterns and behaviours to generate more consistent and predictable outcomes, she knew she needed the expertise of an NLP coach. Fast forwarding over many discussions with Sylvia, Janice detailed many outcomes that she would like to see at the end of this corporate initiative. The company needed to see a significant impact on company plans, performance and operations.
Sylvia was confident she and her team could provide this. She was insistent though that the Senior Management Team do the NLP Practitioner program as she wanted them to have more skills to create and direct the company vision. Everyone down the line could do two to six days in modular format. Sylvia shared that in her experience companies that spent money on NLP training company-wide definitely saw major shifts in function and performance. With a desire to have that edge over her competition Janice made a call to stop all other training in the company and focus completely on NLP training. This concerted effort would augur well for results especially with Sylvia’s vast industry experience. Janice looked forward to phenomenal success, bearing in mind the benefits that this initiative would produce:
The most beneficial long term benefit was that managers would turn into coaches with self-management tools that would bring rapid success to the team. Every team leader would know how to conduct rapid success coaching without the need to check in with their superiors. Everyone could just get on with their jobs, creating space in their schedules. Sylvia shared that at the end of one of these Culture Alignment projects, the CEO told her that the best thing that NLP training did was to clear space in his diary. People knew how to get their jobs done without the need to elicit help from him. He felt it was bang for his buck, as the organisation gained tremendous dollars from heightened employee engagement. They felt more valued while senior leadership understood their role in retention too. That was a big saving for the company with statistics revealing that most people left employment because they didn’t feel valued. In terms of cost-benefit, it was far more worthwhile to retain employees than pay the high cost of re-training new ones. Another big plus that he experienced was heightened communication as the NLP training exercise cascaded down the line with a top down approach. Everyone was included hence it installed a healthy culture of openness and transparency. It was a definite boost to efficiency and productivity. Sales people reported better negotiation skills armed with a powerful understanding of how to negotiate. Sitting at the heart of the business world, this was a direct hit to the P&L and bottom line results soared. Feeling great about achieving the best possible outcome in client interaction, confidence and motivation soared. Janice was excited about these outcomes. Her organisation would save loads of money in the long run. She was also open to giving her senior leaders added time with an NLP coach where a customised one-on-one session would help them tie up loose ends. She looked forward to good times ahead!
